CHW Certification and the Scope of Practice
The webinar will provide a broad range of information about the expanding role of CHWs in an ever-evolving health care system. Regardless of the traditional label of Community Health Workers (CHWs) aka, Promotores de Salud, Health Extenders, Community Health Representatives (CHRs), and other titles; CHWs are impacting our communities during COVID-19 but also addressing chronic diseases and the social determinants of health. Specifically, participants will learn about certification, the scope of practices and credentialing process.
