You’re invited to join the FL CHW Coalition for a training session to prepare for the CHW Advocacy Day we’re organizing in Tallahassee on Tuesday, December 12. We’re so excited to come together and tell our legislators why CHWs are a critical workforce! Our collective voice strengthens our efforts to make real progress in FL!

Whether this is your first time attending an advocacy or legislative day, or you’ve done this 100x, we know meetings with legislators can be intimidating. It’s important to remember that they were elected by you to represent YOU in the Florida Legislature. This means that they want to and should hear from you and care about what you think.

We hope this workshop can help answer any and all questions about our day in Tallahassee.

Here’s what we’ll cover:

* The goal of advocacy day: you get to meet with your legislators and share why CHWs are so important!
* Logistics of where/when to be in Tallahassee (time, location, parking, etc.)
* Schedule of what the advocacy day will look like
* How to have a meaningful and productive meeting with your legislators
*We’ll provide you with talking points and give you printed materials to share with your legislators
*We will make sure you feel confident to speak with your legislators!
