Facilitating Patient Self Advocacy Training
This training equips Community Health Workers (CHWs) and other health professionals with crucial foundational knowledge, emphasizing the development of skills necessary for the evolving role of patient self-advocacy and improved health outcomes. Participants will gain insights into working with individuals across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric populations, and will enhance their cultural competence to effectively communicate with patients and clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
This training offers 1.5 Continuing Education (CE) credits that can be applied towards the certification or renewal of Community Health Worker (CHW) credential. It focuses on enhancing the core competencies in the domains of Communication/Education and Advocacy.
