American Alzheimer's Association

Alzheimer's and Dementia

Welcome to the Alzheimer's Association Training and Education Center.  The Association offers a number of Alzheimer's and dementia courses available online, 24 hours a day.  Alzheimer's and dementia training and education is also offered in Spanish.

Worldwide, 50 million people are living with Alzheimer's and other dementias. Alzheimer’s disease is a degenerative brain disease and the most common form of dementia. Dementia is not a specific disease. It's an overall term that describes a group of symptoms. As the largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's research, the Association is committed to accelerating the global progress of new treatments, preventions and, ultimately, a cure.
